Chatham Park will be a master planned community like no other and the first of it’s kind in the state of NC. The community is planned and managed by the Cary based developer Preston Development Company. At full build out Chatham Park is expected to include:
• More than 7000 acres
• 22 million SF of retail and office space
• 22k homes
• And potentially 60K residents

Construction on several NEW homes has already begun and the Vineyards neighborhood within in what they are calling the North Village has begun to take shape with several single family cottage homes, custom homes and single family homes with attached garages. We expect to see at least 10 different builders offering a variety of home styles and sizes within this first neighborhood in Chatham Park. Garman Homes and David Weekly are the first two production builders. Additionally the custom design team will consist of Prewitt Custom Homes, Upright Builders, Upton & Co and Walker Design Build. These homes will feature modern designs and are priced $650 and up with 3200 – 3600 SF.

Garman Homes has completed their America At Home Study Concept home within the Vineyards neighborhood that features some really unique ideas resulting from a National Homebuyer survey in the Wake of COVID-19.

Plans for parks and open space in the North Village include:
• A 17 acre Central Park
• A 107 acre natural resource park
• A 15 acre hour glass park around a small lake
• And a 50 acre park and public school site
• As well as those 27 acres within the Vineyards that Chatham Park Development has already donated to the town of Pittsboro for the Knight Farm Community Park and to Thales Academy which is currently under construction for opening in the Fall of 2021.

This will be an exciting time in Pittsboro as Chatham Park takes shape.
